Idaho St. survives against University of Great Falls, 78-72

POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) Ali Faruq-Bey came off the bench to score 28 points, including 6 of 12 from 3-point range, to lead Idaho State past the University of Great Falls 78-72 on Friday night.

Ethan Telfair added 14 points, six boards, and five assists and Geno Luzcando had 12 points for the Bengals, who hit 12 threes and 24 of 35 at the free throw line.

Great Falls opened the game on a 14-6 scoring stretch over the first 10 minutes took a 16 point lead on two Darren Lockett free throws. The Argonauts led 42-28 at the break and continued to lead by double figures midway through the second half.

Idaho State battled back however, going on an 18-5 run late in the second half, capped by a Luzcando 3-pointer, which pushed the Bengals to a 73-68. They never trailed the rest of the way.

Lamar Falley led Great Falls with 16 points.
