Deividas Busma scored 20 points Thursday night and Idaho State ended a 24-game road losing streak, beating Portland State 84-79.

Chase Grabau scored 16 points for the Bengals (7-16, 3-8 Big Sky) and Kenny McGowan chipped in 15 points. It was Idaho State's first road victory since Feb. 19, 2009, at Montana State.

Charles Odum led Portland State (11-13, 4-8 Big Sky) with 24 points. Reserve Phillip Thomas added 14 points.

Idaho State, which trailed only after the Vikings scored the opening basket, raced to a 17-8 lead. The Bengals led by as many as 17 points in the first half before Portland State went on a 10-2 run to cut the lead to 41-32 at halftime.

The Vikings battled back to within 65-64 with 7:49 left to play, but Idaho State used an 8-2 run to regain control and held on by hitting 7 of 10 free throws.
