Broderick Gilchrist scored 20 points to lead Idaho State to a 78-68 victory over Great Falls on Friday night.
Devidas Busma had 17 points and nine rebounds, and Nick Mason added 12 points for the Bengals (1-2).
Norman Towns led Great Falls, an NAIA school that designated the game as an exhibition, with 18 points. L.J. Jones added 14, Melvin Williams 12 and Lukas Hambsch 10.
Idaho State led by 24 points with 17:31 remaining when the Argonauts used a 22-5 run to cut the deficit to six. However, the Bengals, who shot 55 percent from the floor and outrebounded Great Falls 34-25, pulled away late.
The Argonauts are 2-4 this season.
