MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) Jack Straughan knocked down eight 3-pointers as Idaho routed New Hope Christian College, 127-54 Friday night , breaking a 50-year-old record in the Vandals final nonconference home game.

The 127-points scored breaks an Idaho record set in a 122-109 win over Arizona State in 1965 and is the most points scored by an Idaho team since a 110-52 win over Cascade College in 2007. The last time an Idaho squad scored more than 100 points in a game was against UC Irvine in 2008.

Straughan took all 14 of his field goal attempts from behind the arc and the Vandals were collectively 19 of 43 from long distance and shot 59.6 percent (53 of 89) overall. Idaho attempted just two free throws. Chad Sherwood added 18 points and Jordan Scott 13.

New Hope College, formerly Eugene Bible College, trailed by 41 points at the break, 61-20, and trailed 103-39 with 6:14 left in the game.
