Idaho holds off Eastern Washington 70-60

Deremy Geiger scored 24 points and Jeff Ledbetter added 15 to help Idaho hold off Eastern Washington 70-60 on Saturday night.

Geiger sank four foul shots in the final 22 seconds to secure the win for the Vandals (2-3), who snapped a three-game losing streak.

Kevin Winford scored a career-best 28 points, including a school-record eight 3-pointers for the Eagles (1-4).

After trailing by as many as 17 points in the second half, Eastern Washington rallied to tie the game at 60-all on a 3-pointer by Jeffrey Forbes with 5:07 left. Forbes finished with 10 points.

Idaho answered with Ledbetter and Geiger, who hit back-to-back 3-pointers as the Vandals pushed the lead to 66-60.

Shawn Henderson finished with 14 rebounds for Idaho.
