Kyle Barone had 13 points and nine rebounds as Idaho beat Cal State Bakersfield 72-44 on Saturday.

Landon Tatum added 12 points and Stephen Madison had nine points and five assists for the Vandals (7-4), who won their third straight.

Andre Jackson led Bakersfield (5-5) with 10 points. The Roadrunners' leading scorer, Issiah Grayson, was held to two points.

Matt Borton hit a 3-pointer with 5 seconds left in the first half to give Idaho a 31-26 lead at the break, then hit another 3-pointer to spark a 22-3 run that put the Vandals ahead 53-29 with 12 minutes left in the game. Idaho stretched that lead to as many as 31 points with just under 5 minutes to play.

The Vandals shot 57 percent from the field, the third game in a row they have shot over 50 percent.
