Hooper drills 7 3's in Oakland's 82-79 win over Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (AP) Max Hooper hit seven 3-pointers which accounted for all of his 21 points and Oakland held on to beat Milwaukee 82-79 on Monday night.

It was the fourth time this season Hooper, who has yet to make a 2-point field goal, has hit seven or more 3s in a game. He is averaging 3.6 3-pointers per game ranking him fifth in the NCAA.

Kahlil Felder added 17 points and 12 assists and Jalen Hayes had 14 points and 10 boards for Oakland (13-8, 5-3 Horizon League).

The Golden Grizzlies led just 75-73 after Milwaukee's Austin Arians made a layup with 2:06 left. But Oakland scored the next five points, including Hooper's final trey, to extend the lead back to 80-73 with only 36 seconds to go.

Jordan Johnson had 20 points and nine assists for the Panthers (14-7, 5-3). Arians and Lyle had 13 points apiece.
