Hooker, North Dakota roll past Sacramento State 97-71

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) Quinton Hooker sank a career-high five 3-pointers and scored 34 points to lead North Dakota past Sacramento State for a 97-71 win Saturday.

Hooker finished 11 of 12 from the field and went 7 for 8 from the line to record his second game in a row with more than 30 points. Drick Bernstine added 12 points for North Dakota (15-12, 9-6 Big Sky) and Dustin Hobaugh had 11.

The Fighting Hawks shot a season-high 63 percent from the field (36-57) and hit 12 of 22 from long range to finish their conference home stand with a three-game sweep.

Tied at 11 in the first half, North Dakota took control with 10 straight points by Hooker, followed by a 3-pointer from Adam McDermott to cap the 13-0 run, and led the rest of the way.

Justin Strings led Sacramento State (11-16, 4-12) with 26 points, Eric Stuteville and Jeff Wu had 11 each.
