Charles Jenkins scored 35 points to lead Hofstra on a second-half comeback to beat James Madison 92-90 in overtime on Monday night.
The Pride (14-6, 8-1 Colonial Athletic Association) overcame a 15-point deficit in the second half to force overtime and remain in a tie with Virginia Commonwealth for first place in the CAA.
Hofstra trailed 52-38 with 14:47 left to play, but closed the gap to 52-49 thanks to a 11-0 run capped by a 3-pointer from Shemiye McLendon at the 11:22 mark.
The Pride continued to trail until two free throws from McLendon tied the score at 79 with 17 seconds left in regulation. Hofstra made all six of its free-throw attempts in overtime compared to a 4-of-7 effort at the line by the Dukes (15-6, 5-4).
Denzel Bowles had 27 points and 10 rebounds and Julius Wells added 23 points for James Madison, which has lost three straight.
