High Point tops Presbyterian 67-58

HIGH POINT, N.C. (AP) John Brown scored 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead High Point over Presbyterian 67-58 on Saturday.

Haiishen McIntyre and Anthony Lindauer came off the bench to add 12 and 10 points respectively, as High Point (21-7, 12-4 Big South) shot 50 percent from the floor.

With the game tied at 14, High Point went on a 10-2 run - including back-to-back 3-pointers by Lindauer and McIntyre - and the Panthers led by 10 at the half, 39-29.

High Point kept Presbyterian at arm's length the entire second half, leading by as much as 14 but never fewer than six.

Jordan Downing led the Blue Hose (9-20, 5-11) with 23 points. Markus Terry had 13 points and DeSean Murray added 12. Presbyterian made just 4 of 19 from beyond the arc and 10 of 16 free throws (63.5 percent).
