Harvard 80, Fordham 57
Laurent Rivard made five 3-pointers on the way to scoring 21 points as Harvard defeated Fordham 80-57 on Wednesday night.
The Crimson (5-1) made 15 3-pointers, their most since hitting 17 against Rice on Dec. 10, 2002, to push their winning streak to five games.
Laurent, a freshman, was 5 for 8, and Christian Webster, Andrew Van Nest and Kyle Casey hit three each as Harvard went 15 for 27 on 3-point attempts (55.6 percent).
The Crimson led 42-29 at halftime and found a hot hand in the second half, shooting 54.2 percent from the field (13 of 24), but 64.3 percent outside the arc (9 of 14).
They led by 31 points with 3:45 remaining.
Harvard committed only nine turnovers and had 21 assists on 28 field goals.
Webster had 18 points, Casey scored 13 and Keith Wright added 10 points for Harvard.
Chris Gaston led Fordham (2-4) with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
