RUSTON, La. (AP) Jalen Harris scored a career-high 24 points on 10 of 15 from the field and Louisiana Tech drubbed Division II Oklahoma Baptist 79-63 on Wednesday night.

Omar Sherman finished with 21 points and seven rebounds, while Erik McCree and DaQuan Bracey each added 12 for the Bulldogs (2-2).

Chandler Rickey and Kevin Franceschi each scored 17 for Oklahoma Baptist, but the Prophets were held to just 39.7 percent shooting and turned the ball over 15 times.

After falling behind 11-9 early the Bulldogs raced out on an 11-1 run, capped by a Harris 3, to gain some breathing room and a 20-12 lead. After Oklahoma Baptist rallied to regain a 31-30 lead on a Steven Green 3-pointer, Louisiana Tech closed out the half on a 19-3 stretch for a 49-34 halftime lead.

A Harris 3-point play early in the second pushed the lead to 17 and the Prophets never threatened again.
