Gresham's career day powers Northeastern past Cornell 84-66 (Dec 02, 2017)

BOSTON (AP) Donnell Gresham Jr. set career highs with 22 points and four steals to go with nine rebounds on Saturday, and Northeastern beat Cornell 84-66.

Vasa Pusica added 20 points, Bolden Brace scored 12 and Maxime Boursiquot had 11 for the Huskies (4-4), who notched back-to-back wins following a four-game skid.

Northeastern pulled away with a 25-4 run starting early in the second half with a Brace 3-pointer and capped by Tomas Murphy's layup that made it 69-46 with 9:19 left. That was the Huskies' largest lead until Gresham capped their scoring with a 3 that gave them a 24-point lead with just less than two minutes left.

Matt Morgan led the Big Red (3-4) with 24 points and Wil Bathurst added 10. Cornell kept it competitive throughout the entire first half and trailed 39-36 at the break.

Northeastern shot 12 of 25 from 3-point range and 31 of 55 overall.
