Georgia State beats Division II Emmanuel 77-58
ATLANTA (AP) Jeremy Hollowell scored 25 points and Georgia State beat Division II Emmanuel 77-58 on Thursday night.
Hollowell was 10 of 15 from the floor. Kevin Ware had 19 points with four assists, and Markus Crider chipped in 12 points for the Panthers (2-0).
Elijah Robinson scored 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting, and Austin Greene added 10 for the Lions.
Emmanuel pulled to 30-24 with four minutes left in the first half. Hollowell scored 7 of Georgia State's 9 points to end the first half, and give the Panthers a 39-24 halftime lead. A 10-0 run stretched the Panthers lead to 58-35 with 12:47 to play.
Georgia State improves to 27-1 at home since the 2013-14 season. The Panthers have won nine straight, with the loss coming in double-overtime, during the span.
