Georgia Southern 63, Wofford 49
Eric Ferguson had 15 points and 11 rebounds as Georgia Southern cruised to a 63-49 Southern Conference win over Wofford on Thursday night.
The Eagles (12-12, 10-4) have won four straight and six of their last seven games. They led wire-to-wire, strengthening their hold on second place in the SoCon South.
The Terriers (15-11, 8-6), who have lost three straight and are in third place in the division, defeated Georgia Southern 88-63 on Jan. 14. Kevin Giltner scored 23 in that game, but was held to seven in the rematch on 3-of-14 shooting.
Willie Powers added 14 points and Ben Drayton III had 12 for the Eagles.
Wofford, which snapped a six-game winning streak in the series, shot only 3 of 16 from 3-point range and 4 of 15 from the free-throw line.
Drew Crowell had 12 points and 14 rebounds and Brad Loesing added 13 points for the Terriers.
