George Washington defeats Bowling Green 77-56

Lasan Kromah scored 21 points and George Washington stepped up its defense in the second half to beat Bowling Green 77-56 on Wednesday night.

The Colonials (4-1) led 35-34 at halftime before opening the second half on a 16-2 run. Kromah's 3-pointer capped the spurt and put George Washington up 51-36 with 15:30 to play. The Colonials stretched their lead to as much as 24 four times the rest of the way.

Kromah, who was 8 of 12 from the field, scored 16 of his points after halftime in the Progressive CBE Classic game.

George Washington held the Falcons to just 29 percent shooting (9 of 31) and only one assist in the second half.

Aaron Ware chipped in 14 points for the Colonials, who won their third straight.

Scott Thomas paced the Falcons (3-2) with 15 points as they had a two-game winning streak snapped.
