Luke Hancock had 16 points and nine rebounds as George Mason extended its winning streak to three games with a 71-47 victory over Drexel on Wednesday night.

The Patriots (13-5, 5-2 Colonial Athletic Association) remained undefeated in nine home games, overcoming a slow start in which they missed their first five shots and trailed 4-2 in the first 5 minutes. But Hancock's layup ended the drought and George Mason went on a 15-4 run en route to a 37-30 halftime advantage.

With the Dragons (11-6, 3-4) struggling offensively and in foul trouble, the Patriots opened the second half with a 12-4 run for a 49-34 lead on a layup by Andre Cornelius with 16:25 remaining.

The margin didn't dip below 14 from that point.

Drexel shot just 32 percent from the field and Chris Fouch, the conference's second-leading scorer at 17.2 points a game entering the game, was the first of three Dragons to foul out, with 5:25 to play. He led Drexel with 11 points.

Cam Long had 14 points and seven rebounds, Ryan Pearson added 12 points and Andre Cornelius had 10 for the Patriots, one of five teams within one game of first place in the CAA.
