Furman 81, UNC-Greensboro 68
Jordan Miller scored 26 points and Noah States added 20 as Furman defeated North Carolina-Greensboro 81-68 in a Southern Conference game Monday night.
The win was the first by the Paladins (5-2, 2-0) in nine tries in Greensboro against the Spartans (0-7, 0-2). Furman's 2-0 start in conference play is its first since the 1990-91 season.
UNC Greensboro led 24-21 with 3 minutes left in the first half, but the Paladins scored the final 11 points before halftime. Miller's 3-pointer with 1:26 remaining gave them a 26-24 lead and they never trailed again.
States scored 17 of his points in the second half, when Furman led by as many as 19 points.
Brandon Evans scored 16 points to lead UNC Greensboro, which has lost all of its games this season by 12 points or more. Kyle Randall added 11 points for the Spartans.
