Furman 61, Chattanooga 52
Jordan Miller scored 21 points to lead Furman to a 61-52 win over Chattanooga in the Southern Conference quarterfinals on Saturday night.
Amu Saaka scored 15 points and Darryl Evans added 14 points for the Paladins, who will play in a semifinal on Sunday.
Keegan Bell scored 20 points and Omar Wattad and Ricky Taylor scored 12 points for the Moccasins, who played on their home court of McKenzie Arena.
Furman (22-9) held Chattanooga to 16 of 51 from the floor (31.4 percent). Chattanooga (16-16) also was 16 of 29 on free throws.
Furman led 13-0 before Chattanooga scored with 14:37 left.
The Moccasins pulled to within 22-20 before Furman took a 30-24 halftime lead. Chattanooga was within three points before Furman went on a 12-3 run.
Furman played without its second-leading scorer, Noah States, who began suffering back spasms on Friday night.
