Fox leads hot-shooting Army past Fairleigh Dickinson, 97-78

WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP) Jordan Fox scored 16 points and led five Black Knights into double-figure scoring as Army bounced back from a tough loss to romp past Fairleigh Dickinson 97-78 on Wednesday night.

Army dropped a heartbreaker Saturday when Fairfield when the Stags overcame a nine-point deficit in the final 2:40 and scored on a tip-in with 0.4 left for a 75-74 victory.

Against Fairleigh Dickinson Army built an 11-point lead at intermission and extended it down the stretch by shooting 60.3 percent from the field (38 of 63), including 12 of 23 from three-point range (52.2 percent).

Matthew Wilson came off the bench to knock down 7 of 9 from the floor to contribute 15 points for Army (3-4). Mac Hoffman added 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

Darian Anderson, who is averaging better than 19 points per game over the last five games, finished with 22 to lead Fairleigh Dickinson (2-4).
