After nine seasons, basketball coach Jim Les has been let go at Bradley.

A source told FOXSports.com that Les was informed of the decision on Sunday.

"I want to acknowledge coach Les' service to Bradley University," Bradley athletic director Dr. Michael Cross said in a statement. "An alumnus of Bradley, Jim has served as head coach for nearly a decade and is an important figure in Bradley's rich basketball history."

Les, a former star player at the school, took over in 2002 and led the Braves to the Sweet 16 in 2006.

However, Bradley hasn’t made the NCAA tourney since. The Braves finished last in the Missouri Valley this past season with a 4-14 league record. They were 12-20 overall.

Bradley made the NIT in 2007, the CBI in 2008 and the CollegeInsider.com tournament in 2009.

Les played at Bradley and went on to play seven seasons in the NBA.
