FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) Arkansas State Police have arrested former Razorback basketball player Michael Qualls on suspicion of drug possession.

A preliminary arrest report says officers stopped Qualls for speeding about 8 a.m. Wednesday on Interstate 49 in Fayetteville. Officers smelled marijuana, searched the truck and found a bag containing apparent marijuana residue and a marijuana cigar.

The report says officers noticed Qualls' necklace was also a smoking device.

Qualls is facing three misdemeanor counts of speeding, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. No attorney information was available.
