NEW YORK (AP) Tom Pecora, who led Fordham to a 44-106 record over five seasons, was fired Wednesday.

The decision was announced by athletic director David Roach who said the program had not achieved the desired results or sustained the progress hoped for under Pecora, who led the Rams to a 10-21 record this season, including 4-14 in the Atlantic 10.

Pecora went to Fordham after nine seasons at Hofstra where he compiled a 155-126 record that included three NIT berths.

Fordham has had one winning season since 1991-92.
