Foot injury ends Dylan Ennis' season after two games

Dylan Ennis' season is over after only two games.

Oregon head coach Dana Altman announced on Wednesday that his graduate transfer point guard is done for the remainder of the season after re-aggravating a foot injury he suffered in November.

Ennis missed the first 12 games of the year for the Ducks. He made his season debut on Dec. 29 against Division II Western Oregon. In two games, he played a total of 22 minutes, scoring two points, grabbing three rebounds and recording a pair of assists.

The 6-foot-2 guard began his career at Rice, playing one season for the Owls before transferring to Villanova. Ennis started all 36 games last season for the Big East champion, but elected to transfer for his final year of eligibility. Ennis wanted to play point guard in a full-time role, something that wasn't going to happen with Ryan Arcidiacono and Jalen Brunson on the roster.

He averaged 9.9 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game last season for the Wildcats. He's shot 34 percent from three in his career.

Oregon returns to action on Sunday night, hosting Stanford at 10 p.m. EST.
