Reggie Lewis scored 20 points and Amin Stevens had 19 points and 16 rebounds as Florida A&M held off North Carolina A&T 87-77 on Monday night, splitting the season series.

Avery Moore added 18 points and Chris Watson 15 for the Rattlers (7-17, 5-5 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), who led 55-35 with 15:19 remaining.

The Aggies (10-15, 5-5) then used an 18-3 run to get within five, at 58-53 with 10:54 left. After FAMU pushed the lead back to 10, North Carolina A&T cut the deficit to three, at 63-60, on a tip-in by Waylan Siverand with 7:42 left. Stevens scored five straight points, and Watson made a three-point play to end the threat.

DaMetrius Upchurch and Nic Simpson scored 14 apiece to lead the Aggies, who have lost three straight after a five-game winning streak that began with an 85-82 overtime win over the Rattlers on Jan. 9.
