Amin Stevens recorded a double-double as Florida A&M beat Maryland-Eastern Shore 68-63 in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference game on Saturday night.

Stevens finished with 25 points and 16 rebounds on 11 of 17 shooting. He also had a game-high four blocks in the win.

The Rattlers (5-13, 3-3), who led throughout the entire game, pushed their lead to five, 61-56, with 3:19 left before a 3-pointer from Hillary Haley and free throw from Tyler Hines brought the Hawks within one, 61-60.

However, Florida A&M outscored the Hawks 7-3 over the final 2 minutes.

Florida A&M shot 53.8 percent (28 of 52) from the field, including 57.7 (15 of 26) in the second half, compared to just 31.1 percent (23 of 74) for Maryland-Eastern Shore.

Maryland-Eastern Shore (4-13, 1-3) outscored Florida A&M 31-18 in second-chance points but allowed 40 points in the paint and 19 off turnovers.
