It didn’t take long for Jeff Lebo to find a new gig.
The former Auburn coach, who was fired after a 96-93 overall mark in six seasons, has agreed to take the East Carolina opening -- replacing Mack McCarthy.
Sources told FOXSports.com that an official announcement is expected either late Monday or Tuesday.
The ECU board of trustees is meeting Monday afternoon to approve the hiring.
Before going to Auburn, Lebo, 43, spent two seasons at Chattanooga and four at Tennessee Tech. He also played at North Carolina from 1986-89 under Hall of Famer Dean Smith.
East Carolina was 10-19 this past season and 4-11 in Conference USA.
