Shavar Richardson scored 25 points and Florida Atlantic used a second-half rally to beat Western Kentucky 67-66 on Thursday night.

Western Kentucky led 62-53 behind two Kahlil McDonald free throws with 5:23 left to play. But Richardson made two free throws of his own, sparking a 12-4 run and cutting the Hilltoppers' lead to just one, 66-65, with 29 seconds remaining.

Jordan McCoy made a layup with 10 seconds left to give Florida Atlantic (9-12, 5-3 Sun Belt Conference) its first lead of the half, 67-66, and Kelvin Penn blocked Jamal Crook's layup attempt as time expired to seal the win.
