Melquan Bolding scored 18 points to help Fairleigh Dickinson beat St. Francis (N.Y.) 45-44 Saturday, snapping an eight-game skid.
St. Francis led most of the game but the Knights broke a 40-40 tie with 2:36 left with four straight points. Layups by Kinu Rochford and Bolding gave the Knights a 44-40 edge with 37 seconds remaining. St. Francis' Kevin Douglas hit a 3-pointer with 1 second remaining for the final margin.
The 44 points in the regular-season finale for both teams was the fewest points allowed by the Knights in at least 10 seasons.
Rochford added 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Knights (3-26, 2-16 Northeast Conference), who shot only 32 percent (16 of 50) from the field and missed all 11 of their 3-point attempts. St. Francis (15-14, 12-6) shot 28.3 percent (15 of 53).
Douglas scored 14 points and Jalen Cannon grabbed 20 rebounds for St. Francis.
