The Buccaneers dominated close to the basket, outscoring the Eagles 42-26 in the paint. East Tennessee State made 15 of 24 field goal attempts in the second half and shot 50.9 percent (29 of 57) for the game.
East Tennessee State opened the game with a 12-0 run and led 40-26 at halftime. The Buccaneers' biggest lead was 22 points.
Bernard Thompson scored 14 points and Filip Cvjeticanin added 13 for the Eagles (13-16, 8-10), who have lost three straight and five of their past six games.
