Emegano with 30 points; Oral Roberts beats Western Illinois

MACOMB, Ill. (AP) Obi Emegano scored 30 points and Oral Roberts overcame a 10-point second-half deficit to beat Western Illinois 77-68 on Saturday night.

The Leathernecks led 47-37 early in the second half. Oral Roberts used an 18-7 run to take its first lead, 55-54 with 10 minutes remaining. Aaron Young scored five points and Emegano made a 3-pointer to stretch the Golden Eagles' lead to 63-59.

Garret Covington scored four points and J.C. Fuller made two free throws to pull Western Illinois to a 65-all tie with three minutes left. DaQuan Jeffries scored four points and Emegano made 8 of 8 free throws to seal it.

Emegano was 8 of 19 from the floor and made 13 of 16 free throws. Jeffries finished with six points and five steals for Oral Roberts (11-9, 3-3 Summit League).

Covington scored 22 points to lead Western Illinois (7-9, 0-5), which has lost seven straight.
