Eastern Kentucky cruises past UT-Martin 89-66

RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) Marcus Lewis scored 19 points and Glenn Cosey hit five 3-pointers and finished with 18 points as Eastern Kentucky defeated Tennessee-Martin 89-66 Thursday night.

The Colonels (15-7, 6-3 Ohio Valley) shot a scorching 64 percent from the field and sank 10 3-pointers. Eric Stutz scored 14 points, Tarius Johnson chipped in 12 and Orlando Williams had 10.

UT-Martin (7-17, 2-7) shot 44.7 percent, but was 4 of 17 from beyond the arc and committed 16 turnovers. Myles Taylor led the Skyhawks with 17 points and Dee Oldham contributed 16.

Eastern Kentucky surged to a 28-18 lead, but the Skyhawks fought back to pull within two at the 3:18 mark. The Colonels responded with an 11-1 run capped by an Isaac McGlone 3-pointer to take a 42-30 advantage at halftime.

The Colonels continued to pull away in the second half, leading by 30 after a Lewis dunk with 5:58 remaining.
