Kevin Winford?s 14 points led four players in double figures as Eastern Washington beat Northern Arizona 72-59 on Thursday night.

The Eagles (5-13, 2-4 Big Sky) closed it at the free throw line, making 10 straight in the final 2:14.

Tremayne Johnson came off the bench for 13 points and four blocked shots, Jeffrey Forbes had 12 points and Cliff Colimon 11 for the Eagles, who snapped a five-game losing streak.

Cameron Jones scored 18 of his 24 points in the second half for the Lumberjacks (10-8, 2-4).

Trailing by 15 points early in the second half, Northern Arizona rallied behind Jones, who scored 13 points during an 18-10 run that brought the Lumberjacks to within 53-46 with 6:23 left.

But Eastern Washington answered with back-to-back baskets by Laron Griffin and Glen Dean to push the lead back to 11. Northern Arizona never got closer than nine after that.
