E. Kentucky overwhelms Kentucky Christian 115-35

RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) Jaylen Babb-Harrison nailed 6 of 7 3-point attempts and scored 28 points as Eastern Kentucky overwhelmed NAIA's Kentucky Christian 115-35 on Tuesday night.

Eastern Kentucky (2-0) had seven players score in double figures. Denzel Richardson had 18 points, Eric Stutz added 13, while Timmy Knipp had 12 and eight rebounds. Corey Walden contributed 11 points and six assists and Ja'Mill Powell and Paul Jackson scored 10 apiece.

The Colonels made 44 of 72 field goal attempts while limiting the Knights to 13 of 40. Eastern Kentucky also won the rebound battle, pulling down 38, compared to 21 for the Knights (1-5).

The Colonels controlled both ends of the court as Kentucky Christian did not get into double figures until Caleb Ford made a layup with 2:11 remaining in the first half. The Colonels led 42-10 then.

Ford led Kentucky Christian with 10 points.
