Joshua Jones scored 15 points, including three 3-pointers, to lead Eastern Kentucky to a 73-65 win over Liberty Friday night.

Jaron Jones and Eric Stutz added 14 points apiece for the Colonels (2-2), who won their first game in the 2K Sports Classic. Eastern Kentucky lost to 19th-ranked Texas A&M in its first game on Nov. 9.

The Jones boys combined to go 5-for-8 from 3-point range for the Colonels, who were 10 of 22 (45.5 percent) in the win. The Flames hit just 2 of 11 (18.2 percent) attempts from beyond the arc.

The teams were tied at 28 after the break and traded leads early in the second half, but the Colonels opened up a 15-4 run midway through the frame to put the game out of reach.

David Minaya and Jesse Sanders led Liberty (2-2), which is 0-2 in the early-season tournament, with 19 points apiece.
