Duquesne 91, Northwestern St. 64
Bill Clark had 21 points and 10 rebounds as Duquesne routed Northwestern State 91-64 on Friday.
The Dukes (6-5) hadn't played since losing to George Mason 85-79 in double-overtime on Dec. 22, snapping their six-game home winning streak.
The layoff didn't hurt Duquesne, which pulled away in the first half with an 18-4 run to lead 22-8.
The Dukes shot 56.7 percent in the first half (17 of 30) to lead 53-29 at the break and Northwestern State (8-6) never threatened in the second half.
Duquesne scored 39 points off 28 Demons turnovers and had a 44-22 advantage in the paint.
The Dukes scored at least 90 points for the fourth time this season. They came into the game averaging 19.1 assists, second in the nation, and surpassed that with 22.
B.J. Monteiro added 15 points for Duquesne.
Will Pratt scored 14 to lead the Demons, who have lost three straight.
