Chase Hallam scored a season-high 21 points as Denver ended Wyoming's nine-game winning streak with a 57-46 victory Monday night.

Brian Stafford added 10 points for the Pioneers (9-2), who have won three straight.

The Pioneers, 6-1 at home, made 9 of 20 3-pointers while allowing one trey on 13 attempts from the Cowboys.

Leonard Washington had 18 points and nine rebounds for Wyoming (11-2), which scored two points better than its season low. Leading scorer Luke Martinez was held to five points on 1 for 12 shooting.

Denver pulled away with a 7-0 run capped by a layup from Hallam to take a 39-32 lead with 6:24 left. Washington converted two free throws to get Wyoming as close as 40-36 with 5:28 remaining only to fall behind 46-36 on two 3-pointers by Hallam.

The Cowboys never got closer than eight points over the remaining 3:03.
