Marques Oliver's layup as time expired lifted Delaware State over Morgan State 74-73 Monday night, extending the Hornets' winning streak to seven games.

Trailing 73-72, Delaware got the ball on a turnover with 11.6 seconds left. After two Morgan State timeouts, Jay Threatt dribbled the length of the court but missed a 16-footer. Oliver got the rebound and banked in a shot to put the Hornets (11-11, 8-3 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) ahead for the first time in 36 minutes.

Tahj Tate scored 24 points for Delaware State, whose winning streak is its longest since it won nine straight in the 2006-07 season.

The Bears (5-18, 3-9), who led 57-46 with 10 minutes to play, lost their sixth in a row.
