Kyle Anderson broke a tie with 30 seconds left on a 3-pointer and Delaware held off a late rally by Lafayette in an 81-78 win on Saturday.

Devon Saddler scored 32 points and Jamelle Hagins finished with 13 points and 14 rebounds for the Blue Hens (2-2), who held a 14-point lead in the second half before Lafayette's surge.

Saddler, who went 11 of 22 from the floor, knocked down a jumper with 12:01 left in the second half to give Delaware a 61-47 advantage. However, Lafayette would not go away easily, going on a 12-2 run that spanned more than five minutes, trimming the Blue Hens' lead to four points.

Lafayette (3-3) tied the game at 75-75 with 57 seconds left on two free throws by Jim Mower, who led the Leopards with 19 points. But Anderson, who finished with 16 points, put Delaware ahead for good with his 3-pointer.
