Dayton holds on for 20th win, 68-64 over Saint Joseph's

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) Dyshawn Pierre had 15 points, 10 rebounds and six assists on Thursday, and Dayton earned its 20th win of the season, 68-64 over Saint Joseph's.

Pierre sealed the victory on two free throws with 2.8 seconds left to put the Flyers (20-5, 10-3 Atlantic 10) up by four. Dayton improved its home winning streak to 19.

Jordan Sibert left the door open with 20.4 seconds left when he missed 1 of 2 free throws. Saint Joseph's (11-14, 5-8) trailed 66-64 as DeAndre Bembry drove to his left, Sibert stayed in front without fouling, and Bembry dribbled off his foot and out of bounds to Dayton with 4.5 seconds left.

Kendall Pollard had 22 points, including a three-point play that gave the Flyers a 65-61 lead with 1:14 to play. Sibert and Kyle Davis added 11 each.

Bembry and Isaiah Miles scored 23 points apiece to lead Saint Joseph's.
