Tyler Kalinoski led four Davidson players in double figures with 15 points as the Wildcats defeated Chattanooga 81-55 Saturday night in each team's Southern Conference opener.

De'Mon Brooks had 14 points, Clint Mann 13 and Jake Cohen 12 for Davidson (4-3).

Chattanooga (2-5) entered outrebounding its opponents by an average of 11.7 boards per game, but no Moc pulled down more than six rebounds as the teams played to a 37-all draw on the glass. Chattanooga had pulled down 12 or more offensive rebounds in six straight games but nabbed just seven off the offensive glass Saturday.

Davidson, which entered as the fourth-best free-throw shooting team in the country at 79.4 percent (100 of 126), shot 76.5 percent (13 of 17) from the line.

Chattanooga shot just 33.3 percent (8 of 24) from the field in the first half as Davidson rolled to a 39-26 halftime advantage.
