John Golden scored 17 points and Jvonte Brooks added 16, both season highs, to lead Dartmouth to an 83-67 nonconference victory over Longwood on Saturday.

The Big Green (4-13), who had lost their past six games, shot 54.7 percent (29 of 53) from the field, including 62.5 percent (10 of 16) from 3-point range. The Lancers (6-12) shot 32.9 percent (23 of 70) overall.

R.J. Griffin scored 11 of his 14 points for Dartmouth, which scored the final eight points of the first half to take a 41-30 lead.

The Lancers (6-12) tied the game 52-52 with 10:24 remaining after a 15-3 run, but Dartmouth, getting nine of its next 17 points from David Rufful, rebuilt a double-digit lead, 69-59, with 4:33 to play. Rufful finished with 13 points.

Antwan Carter scored 20 points to lead Longwood, which also got 12 points from Jeremiah Bowman and 12 from Martiz Washington.
