CS Northridge snaps 5-game skid, beats Portland State 77-71

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) Micheal Warren scored eight of his 15 points in the final eight minutes to help Cal State Northridge pull away and beat Portland State 77-71 on Thursday night.

Cal State Northridge (3-7) snapped a five-game losing streak. Portland State (3-6) has lost four straight.

Isaiah Pineiro scored a layup and Cameron Forte made 3 of 4 free throws to pull the Vikings to 55-53 with 8:12 remaining. Warren answered with a pair of free throws to spark a 14-7 spurt and the Matadors led 69-60. Warren made four free throws and two field goals during the stretch.

Calaen Robinson made a 3 and the Vikings cut the deficit to 69-65. Tre Hale-Edmerson scored six straight points and Matadors led 75-67 with 16 seconds left.

Hale-Edmerson had 14 points for the Matadors. Robinson made seven 3-pointers and scored 21 points to lead Portland State.
