CS Bakersfield 69, Cal Poly 66
Cal State Bakersfield had four players reach double-figures and held off Cal Poly's rally for the 69-66 win Saturday night.
Zach Lamb scored 15 points to lead Cal State Bakersfield (12-12), which endured a late collapse that saw its 60-52 lead with 5:56 remaining dwindle to 60-58 three and a half minutes later. The Roadrunners sparked a 6-2 over the next two minutes to gain separation for the win.
Cal Poly (13-11) led by four with 7:41 remaining in the first half until Cal State Bakersfield scored 11 unanswered points, seven by Lamb, over the next five minutes for a 33-26 advantage.
Chris Eversley led Cal Poly with 18 points and seven rebounds.
Cal State Bakersfield shot 50 percent from the floor, but struggled from the free-throw line, hitting 13 of 22. Cal Poly nearly matched the Roadrunners, shooting 45.7 percent, including a torrid 55 percent from 3-point distance.
