Doug McDermott scored 18 points and Creighton beat Kennesaw State 75-57 in the final game of the Global Sports Hy-Vee Challenge on Friday.
The Bluejays (4-1) scored 40 points in the paint and 24 points off fast breaks, while Kennesaw State (2-5) managed only 24 points in the paint and seven fast break points.
McDermott pulled down five rebounds and had three assists.
Darryl Ashford scored 13 points, had six assists and two rebounds.
Jahenns Manigat also scored 13 points, and added four assists.
Spencer Dixon scored 16 points for Kennesaw State, and finished with three assists, three steals and three rebounds.
LaDaris Green added 15 points and seven rebounds.
Creighton shot 51.8 percent from the field, while the Owls were 40.4 percent in the field.
