Reserves P'Allen Stinnett and Cavel Witter fueled an 18-4 second-half run that carried Creighton to a 57-56 victory over Wichita State Saturday.

Stinnett's driving basket with 15:21 tied the score at 31 and started a 13-0 Bluejays run. Witter added a 3-pointer and a pair of free throws during the decisive stretch, and Stinnett tallied a basket and another 3 as Creighton (9-9, 4-3 Missouri Valley) moved in front 47-35.

The Shockers (16-3, 5-2) closed to within one on Clevin Hannah's 3-pointer with 13.1 seconds left. They knocked the ball out of bounds near midcourt with 9.4 seconds left, then failed to foul the Jays in the closing seconds.

Toure' Murry scored 16 points for Wichita State to lead all scorers. Stinnett had 14 points, Kenny Lawson 11 and Witter 10 for the Jays.
