Logan Wiens scored 23 points to lead four Coppin State players in double figures as the Eagles routed Hampton 83-66 Saturday in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference game.

Wiens hit 7 of 11 shots from the floor, going 3 for 7 from 3-point range. Coppin State (8-9, 3-1) had a huge advantage at the foul line. The Eagles were 28 for 36, while Hampton was 8 for 20.

Tony Gallo's 15 points for Coppin State included nine free throws, one more than Hampton's team total.

Antonio Williams and Akeem Ellis scored 12 points apiece, with Williams grabbing 21 rebounds.

It was basically a two-man game for Hampton (6-11, 2-2). Darrion Pellum scored 26 points, making six 3-pointers. Mike Tuitt came off the bench to score 25. But the other Pirates combined for only 15 points.
