Meiko Lyles scored 18 points and Brian Barbour added 17 to lift Columbia past North Texas 72-57 on Saturday night in the LMU Centennial Classic.
The Lions (4-4) made 12 of 17 tries from 3-point range and finished shooting 56 percent from the field.
The Mean Green (2-5) did better in the paint, outscoring Columbia 34-14. But North Texas managed to make just 35 percent from the field and held their only lead about a minute and a half into the game.
Chris Crockett made a game-high four 3-pointers and finished with 12 points for the Lions while Alex Rosenberg added 10 points.

Chris Jones led the Mean Green with 13 points. Kedrick Hogans and Roger Franklin added 12 each.
