Andy Ogide went 8-for-10 from the floor and scored 19 points to lead Colorado State past Arkansas-Pine Bluff 82-51 in a season opener Saturday night.

Will Bell added 14 points and Travis Franklin 12 for the Rams, who outrebounded the Golden Lions 41-29, forced 20 turnovers and held a 28-11 advantage in bench points.

Daniel Broughton led Arkansas-Pine Bluff with 15 points, and Savalace Townsend had 12.

Townsend's jumper with 4:30 left in the first half put the Golden Lions ahead 24-22, but Colorado State reeled off the next 11 points and was never headed. The Rams led 35-26 at intermission.

Colorado State opened the second half with 11 consecutive points to stretch the gap to 46-26, and the lead grew from there.

In their only previous meeting, Colorado State beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff 73-48 in 2007.
