Alec Burks scored 20 points, including four free throws in the final 10.8 seconds, and Colorado hung on to beat Oklahoma State 75-71 Saturday to extend its winning streak to seven games.
Cory Higgins led the Buffaloes (14-4, 3-0 Big 12) with 23 points and made all 10 his free throws to boost his career total to 487, surpassing Donnie Boyce (480) for the school record. Marcus Relphorde added 14 points.
Jean-Paul Olukemi had 21 points to lead the Cowboys (13-4, 1-2).
Burks also had a career-high 11 rebounds to help Colorado start 3-0 in conference for the first time since 1996-97, when the Buffaloes opened 6-0 and advanced to the NCAA tournament.
Colorado, playing before its first home sellout crowd of the season, improved to 11-0 at in Boulder this season.
